Review Requests
I’m happy to receive book review requests from publishers, authors, publicists, etc. My interests lie in the genres of science fiction and fantasy and the many wonderful and wacky subgenres in between (magical realism, slipstream, steampunk, and so on). However, please bear in mind that this blog is my hobby, not my job. That means I do not always blog consistently and that Real Life™ often takes priority over this site. So even if I’m really keen to read and review a book sent to me, I cannot guarantee that I’ll get round to it. I know that kinda sucks, and I do apologise, but it’s best you know the facts before you contact me!
Press Releases
I do not post press releases on this site unless they are exceptionally relevant (even then, I might not want to). The Lightning Tree is primarily a book review blog, so please don’t be offended if I refuse your request or, indeed, ignore your email. You have been warned!
